The Ironman stroller is designed specifically for Moms whose
passion, other than her new baby, is running marathons or competing in
triathlons. This high-tech sport-utility stroller keeps kids weighing up to 70
pounds comfortable for miles and miles of road. The tripod-shaped frame has
sturdy suspension that absorbs 3 inches of wheel movement to improve the
maneuverability, distribute children’s weight evenly, and reduce the amount of
bouncing and vibration--even when used on a potholed or unpaved dirt road. The
rugged 16-inch-diameter polymer tires are also safe for off-road use and have a
lower rolling resistance to minimize the chance of the Ironman taking off
downhill on its own. Unlike most strollers, the Ironman also has a front wheel
with adjustable tracking for precision performance. For a sport-utility stroller
of this size, the Ironman is amazingly lightweight, coming in at just over 20
pounds, which is owed in part to the light yet durable stainless-steel spokes
and aluminum rims. The stroller also measures a narrow 15 inches wide so it
cruises just as easily through store aisles as it does on the road. Compact
folding is done easily with the Ironman by folding the frame in half two times
and then folding the wheels in on either side. Kids are safely strapped into the
Ironman’s partially reclining seat with a padded five-point harness and are
shaded by a built-in canopy. For additional safety, there is a hand brake and
wrist strap on the stroller’s push bar. This stroller for hard-core exercise
enthusiasts is a brilliant yellow that is highly visible to passing cars. It is
recommended for babies from 6 to 8 weeks old and up and should not be used
off-road until babies are at least 6 to 8 months old. --Cristina Vaamonde

Great jogger, not for store
aisles, December 8, 2005
I just got my ironman, and have a mixed usage for it. 1.) carrying my 40
pounds of camera gear on trails. 2.)carrying my 9 month old grand-daughter
around when she is visiting.
The build and quality is superb. I have heard other reviewers say they have
tracking problems. I don't think there isn't anything here that a good bicycle
mechanic can't solve. If you can't adjust your own bike, you may or may not be
able to fix minor problems with this.
The folding I think is very excellent.
My fore warning is don't expect this to maneuver easily in store aisles, quite
contrary to the Amazon description of "cruise easily . . . store aisles". The
problem there is maneuverability because all three wheels go only straight. If
you want to be able to do both, consider the B.O.B. Revolution, but for rough
trails, or high speed running stick with the Ironman.

Over Rated, November 19,
2005
This is not a bad looking stroller, but for six months now it has been
nothing but a pain. From day one despite my many attempts to fix it, adjust it,
tune it, the stroller just keeps pulling so hard to the left as soon as you
start pushing it. My brother has another brand and it works just fine. I also do
not like the rattle noises this stroller makes and the seat material feels very
cheap. I do like the large wheels, but overall I am not pleased with my
purchase. For the money I spent "over four hundred" because I purchased the rain
cover along with the seat pad, I feel like I should have had the best of the
best. Instead I feel like I purchased the wrong stroller for me and my daughter.

Must have for Active
Parents!!!!!!!!, September 28, 2005
This is the baby item I was most excited to purchase. And for good reason, it
is worth every penny. I couldn't wait till my daughter was born to start
training for my 1st adventure race - I was able to put my daughter into this at
4 weeks old and not even have to worry about her. I was able to do simple trail
running/ road running without her waking up. I do however recommend that you
purchase some type of head support if you are going to be placing a little tyke
in it we used the Snuzzler - Infant Support by Kiddopotamus and some type of
blanket system, we used the Papooska by The Papooska Company - Both worked
perfect with the stroller. I highly recommend this stroller for any active
mom!!!!
