Editorial Review
It can sometimes be a little bit tricky to find a stroller
that is strong, durable, and spacious for long walks while also being
lightweight and manageable enough to handle easily in a variety of settings.
This solid touring stroller from Graco strikes a nice balance, featuring
excellent mobility and handling in our informal test while also being well
appointed with features like a spacious lower storage basket, one-hand
collapsibility, and four-position recline in the 40-pound capacity seat. Other
niceties include toy and cup holders for the passenger (no cup holders for you,
Mom and Dad—sorry) and a combination clock and thermometer. --Charlie

Couldn't be more pleased and
amazed with this stroller!, January 6, 2005
My husband and I initially purchased a lightweight Evenflo stroller for our
daughter before she was born. Little did we know about strollers except what we
had read. The Evenflo stroller had little basket room in back, had
less-than-preferable handling and my baby didn't fit well in it. So now our
daughter is 10 months old, we needed more in a stroller. I asked a fellow mom
about her stroller, and she raved about her Graco Quattro. I checked out the
reviews on Amazon.com and went straight to Babies R Us. Standing in the aisle
for 30 minutes, I tried it out, folded it up, and looked over all its features
in their entirety. I was impressed! My husband helped me put it together, and he
was very impressed at the handling on this stroller. There's enough basket room
for my diaper bag, purse, toys, and even shopping purchases. The seat back
reclines and even lays flat when my baby naps. This stroller is a dream to fold
down and load. I am SO impressed with this product!!!

A great all-terrain stroller.,
March 19, 2005
I have been using this stroller for 14 months, and I still tell everyone I
meet about it. The main reason I went with it is that the storage basket
collapses to allow access to its contents even with the stroller seat is
completely reclined. This means that when baby is sleeping, or when you are
using the carseat with the stroller, your diaper bag or cooler is not stuck
beyond reach. At the time we bought it, it was the only stroller on the market
with that feature.
The wheel structure is rugged and handles off-roading very well. On smooth
pavement, etc., it handles beautifully. I do joke with people that pushing it is
like driving a truck, because it is fairly large, and negotiating it around
narrowly spaced displays in a department store can be a real challenge. There
have been times while shopping that I have determined to buy a tiny umbrella
stroller, but I love how much cargo I can take with me. There are two cupholders
and two small compartments near the handle; the basket holds a lot; and when the
seat is upright I can pile a lot of stuff between the handlebar and the top of
the seat, where the extra material makes a kind of hammock. It is the perfect
stroller for a trip to the zoo, but I use it for daily shopping and am very
happy with it. It is not too heavy -- I have no trouble lifting it in and out of
vehicles. It is rather large even when collapsed, but I don't really mind. I
specifically chose a larger, sturdier stroller for its features -- if
streamlining is a high priority, then go with something smaller like the
Travelite. But if you want to be able to go everywhere and do everything, then
this is the stroller for you.
Note that the standard Graco stroller accessories, like the toys on a post that
fit into some sort of slot on strollers, do not work with this stroller. I
bought a stroller bar from Sassy (like the Busy Bug one) with velcro straps, and
my son has been very happy with that.

Very pleased with
this product., February 2, 2006
Upfront must note that we use with the windsor car seat. The two work
beautifully together (was skeptical of these type of systems but have had
complete change of heart). The stroller feels quiet sturdy and folds down to a
relatively small size fairly easy (but only after engaging the folding mechanism
which is well designed to prevent accident fold-ups). Have not yet used the
stroller without the carseat, but we are thrilled with this product with the
seat. Baby has slept in the car seat, when in the stroller, comfortably and for
relatively lengthy periods (nice to put baby in while doing some household
chores -- just strap him in). Worth every dollar. Definitely buy with the car
seat.

Great all-around stroller
selection!! Beautiful Materials, too!, January 30, 2006
So, you're having a baby- and you need a stroller. Millons of choices, right?
I chose this beautiful Quattro in the Windsor Pattern, and I can tell you why:
The features are top notch, and the price is right!
Sure, there are all kinds of things you can spend your money on- when I was a
first time mom I was awed by the Peregos and Maclarens and the Britax carseats...they
are all wonderful products, but you have to assign your priorities. Graco has
always had a sterling reputation for making safe, affordable, and durable baby
equipment and I'd rather get something that meets my needs and leaves me with
money leftover to actually DO things with my children.
I had almost 8 years in between children, my first being a boy and this one (due
in 2 weeks) being a girl. Everything I had for my boy was either outdated, had
been given away, or was decidedly masculine, so I ended up having to replace
most things anyway. One thing I learned from my first experience with motherhood
is that you really shouldn't scrimp on strollers. I think I went through about 4
cheap strollers with my son before I finally just broke down and bought a really
nice one. When I did, I paid over $300 for a Peg Perego Milano and never got
half the features that this one comes with. Looking back, I should have just
bought a really nice one to start with and saved myself a lot of money and
frustration. But I also realize that I seriously over-spent given what I
actually got for my money. So, this time around, I was determined to get a great
stroller at a great price, and did a LOT of research.
I wanted something that was sturdy, roomy (storage is essential, especially with
more than one child), and had good wheels. Secondary to that was having good
conveniences for Mom and Dad, too. I found all that and more with the Graco
Quattro and I am really pleased with my choice. I have already gotten a Snugride
carseat in a different pattern which was gently used by a friend of mine, and
thus I thought that a travel system would be a waste of money (as I see it,
there is no need for 2 carseats when they are in the infant ones such a short
time anyway), so I decided to look at Gracos first in order to be able to attach
the carseat easily to a stroller. The seat I have is tan/green and more on the
pastel side, so I was drawn to the Windsor pattern right away, since the carseat
wouldn't look too mismatched on the tan frame and also coordinated with the
sage. It's just a really lovely pattern. I also think that the toile is really
understated and should I have another boy this will work fine for him as well.
Though it was the pattern and the good looks of this stroller that drew me to it
initially, looks aren't everything. Close scrutiny made me even MORE impressed!
The ease of folding and sturdy frame and wheels had me sold the first time I
tooled this baby around the store.
One thing I really liked about this stroller over other Quattro models is that
it's a lighter color. The strollers that are black and navy look very modern and
urban, sure, but since you mostly use your stroller in the spring/summer months
I hate how black and dark framed strollers just pull the hot sun down on your
baby. This one just seemed like it would be a lot cooler for an infant. My son
had a beautiful navy-framed Peg Perego stroller and the navy blue seat tray
would just be boiling if we were at the park or the zoo on a hot day.
Yes, it's big. But alas, I have been in the mini-van legion for many years and
space isn't really an issue for me ;). However, looking back to when my son was
a baby and I was driving a 2 door sedan with a small trunk, this wouldn't have
been likely to fit...so I can see that it could cause some space concerns. I'm
5'9 and it is really comfortable for me to push and it's not any heavier than
most of the other stuff I have to lug around :). I really think, though, that
most parents will appreciate so much all the features that will make an outing
more manageable...the fact that you can lower the basket to still get full use
of it is wonderful, the suspension and high-quality wheels make this thing drive
like a dream, and since we are kind of geeky, I really love that there are some
gadgets built in too, like the clock and temp. gauge. I also love the softer
fabrics- really, it's just a very attractive stroller. We bought ours at the
store, rather than online and also used a coupon so we got it for $119 and saved
on shipping. For the number of years you will be using a stroller from infancy
forward, I count that as a heck of a good deal for something that is so
well-made. If you don't already have an infant carseat, I'd advise you to look
at the Quattro Tour travel systems...the Snugride carseat is the top infant
carseat for good reason, having already done this once, I knew that I'd never go
with another infant seat, there isn't anything on the market that is better for
ease of use, adjustablity, and safety ratings.
For quick trips in and out of the drugstore or short excursions, I plan to
supplement this with my good old umbrella stroller, which is on it's third child
now, but for overall durability and comfort, I am thrilled with this choice and
can't wait to really get down to using it!!

wonderful stroller,
January 25, 2006
I registered for this stroller and the rest of the Graco Windsor design. The
stroller is rather large, however very simple to put away and manuver. My
daugter is only a month old and her car seat fits perfectly in the front of the
stroller. I am able to go shopping with her and take her for walks. It is one
simple step to fold the stroller and it fits very well in my trunk. The basket
on the bottom of the stroller holds her diaper bag, my purse and many of the
items that I buy. I believe she is very comfortable in the stroller as she seems
to sleep in it no matter how long I go shopping. The large wheels make it very
easy to go over curbs. The only thing that I am having a problem finding is the
rain cover for the Graco stroller that would also cover the car seat when it is
hooked in. Babies R Us seems to be sold out all the time. Other brands of rain
covers are not designed to cover both the stroller and car seat when it is put
together as one unit. Besides that, i have no complaints about the stroller at
all. I plan on using it for quite some time.
